Implication of mobile phones in the Indian society is enormous.Socially, culturally, and economically as well, this technological invention has played a significant role in development of the society.In the earlier days, the only means of communication was the postal system.Later on, telecommunication industry in the country started improving with the introduction of fixed telephone lines and radio.Thereafter, a big revolution in the telecom sector was witnessed with the introduction of mobile technology that completely transformed life in India.The first mobile phone in India was introduced somewhere in 1995.Since then the technological invention has witnessed exponential growth with its widespread use and reach.Today, almost 80% of the Indian population possesses a mobile phone.This makes it easy for people's family members to stay in touch irrespective of time and place.Whether at work or at home, these phones are an easy way to pass on an important message, get updated news, know about the weather condition or stay in touch with family members during any kind of emergencies.Parents used to be very apprehensive when their children go out with their friends but mobile phones have made them completely tension-free.They can now stay in touch with their children and also contact them in case of emergencies.With the modern technology they can even trace their children and so they feel secure when giving the required freedom to their children.Apart from these, mobile phones have also helped improve the political system in the country.Earlier politicians used to make fake promises just to win vote but now things have changed.Now the common man directly approaches the concern politician through mobile phones.Angry and distressed people call them and demand for action and peace in the country.This has led much improvement in the sector as there leaders and politicians have no way to escape.Economically also the introduction of cell phones have proved to be a boon in the growth and development of India.Skilled and talents professionals in India started innovating handsets with easy usability and low price tag.Everyone started buying phones in and around the country.As for now, many mobile companies are exporting handsets from India and are gaining good momentum for economic growth.Apart from this, economic growth is cultivated through growing businesses in the country.Communication between corporate associates, clients, and customers has improved dramatically which has led to increased revenue generation, eventually fostering the economic growth of the country.In sum, mobile phones have left a remarkable influence on the social, cultural, economic, and political sector of the Indian society.
